The final volume is the solution volume after stock addition and make-up. Source water occupies final volume minus stock volume, so both streams' analyte mass is retained. This is not an instruction to add stock to the entered number of liters of starting water.

A bare ppm label does not identify the quantity, species or conversion scale. This record requires one source-defined analyte mass concentration in mg/L and retains any element/oxide, assay, density or preparation conversion in the responsible source rather than guessing it.
Real products can supply several nutrients, fertilizer grades may use phosphate/potash rather than elemental P/K, and multiple products can contribute the same analyte. The responsible whole-recipe calculation must solve that coupled balance before this one-analyte record is checked.
The make-up water can already contain the analyte. The final-volume mass balance includes that measured background and the stock contribution. If water background exceeds the target, this addition-only worksheet stops because removal, alternate water or dilution requires a different responsible plan.
No. It means the completed solution is made up to a final volume of 20 L after stock addition, according to the responsible preparation record. Adding the stock to 20 L of starting water changes the final volume and concentration.
