Privacy Policy
Tip Calc $ / Gratuity Lab · Last updated September 21, 2026Receipt OCR runs on your device and saved history stays local. There is no Tip Calc $ account or Enbilex receipt upload service. Advertising uses third-party services and privacy choices as described below.
Information you enter
Bill amounts, tax, tips, party size, rounding choices, merchant names, dates, notes, and receipt images are processed on your device. Enbilex does not collect these inputs from the app.
On-device receipt recognition
When you scan or import a receipt, Apple Vision performs text recognition on your device. Enbilex does not receive the image, recognized text, merchant, date, or amounts. OCR results always go to a review screen and are not used until you confirm them.
Local receipt history
Saved calculations, notes, recognized text, and compressed receipt images are stored locally in the app’s Application Support directory and SwiftData database. Tip Calc $ does not use an Enbilex account, CloudKit, or an Enbilex application server to sync this information.
Camera and PhotosPicker
Camera access is used only when you choose Scan Receipt. Photo selection uses Apple’s system PhotosPicker, which lets you choose specific images without granting the app unrestricted access to your photo library. You can always enter a bill manually.
Deleting your data
Delete a record from History to remove the calculation and its stored receipt images. History supports individual and batch deletion. You may also choose automatic cleanup after 30, 90, or 365 days in Settings; the default is to keep records until you delete them.
Advertising and consent
Tip Calc $ uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). These services may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction data, diagnostics, and consent choices according to your region and Google’s policies. The app disables publisher first-party ID and advertising personalization. Non-personalized ads can still involve data collection for measurement, reporting, fraud prevention, and frequency limits; they do not mean that no data is collected.
Tracking permission and your choices
The revised advertising flow in version 1.1 (build 4 and later) completes applicable regional consent and checks Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before initializing advertising or loading ads. With your ATT permission, Google may use the device advertising identifier to measure ads across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline or tracking is restricted, the app does not permit IDFA-based tracking and requests non-personalized ads only when regional consent permits them. If permission is unresolved or the consent check fails, ads remain off. Your choice does not limit calculator, receipt, or history features. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where required, Settings > Manage Ad Privacy in the app lets you revisit regional privacy choices. These changes apply as the updated app becomes available.
Sharing and exports
Your receipt and calculation content is not shared automatically. If you use Copy, Share, Save to Photos, or the iOS share sheet, the destination you choose receives the content under that destination’s privacy practices.
Children’s privacy
Tip Calc $ is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. Enbilex does not knowingly collect children’s receipt or calculator data through the app.

We may update this policy when app features or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version.
